Thunderfoot Studio is a working artist studio located in South Langley, B.C. an area of the Fraser Valley which is known as Canada’s horse capital because of the high horse per capita ratio. This is an ideal place for an equine artist to live and work because my inspiration is everywhere. Horses are everywhere in Langley and my hobby farm is no exception. We have 5 horses and a mule and are members of Back Country Horsemen of B.C. Happy trails chapter. I am an avid equestrian and enjoy riding many disciplines including trail riding, dressage, reining, natural horsemanship and at this time I am training with a show jumping coach who was on the Canadian Olympic Equestrian Team.

My well-known artist studio is easy to locate on a main road in Langley and clearly recognized because of the large colorful hand painted sign, and visitors are always welcome. Clients come to my artist’s studio from all over the Fraser Valley or if they are from out of town, we work together through email and post. At my art studio I have my art displayed up on shelves, there’s art on walls and art stacked in corners. I have a well-organized working space and room to work with clients on whatever art projects or paintings they want done.

I am asked to do a wide variety of art for the Equine Industry and anyone else for that matter – Commissioned paintings, pet portraits, equine portraits, family portraits, logo design, brochures, illustration and graphic design as well as my popular hand painted farm signs. My preference is watercolor and oil paintings but I can do artwork in any medium asked for.

When I am not producing these types of commercial art, I spend my time working on paintings for Art Gallery’s. My work is shown in Bellerophon’s Equestrian Art and Antiques in Fort Langley and Favorite Things in New Westminster. My signature Funky Cat Series continues to be very well received and in demand. I have produced Limited Edition Prints and reproductions but I primarily sell original art and the prints and art cards I can print from my art. I am also a member of the West Coast Cowgirl Artists and we show western art as a group at various juried art shows and we enter art competitions through-out B.C. I am also developing a British columbia art series, which has a unique style with colorful borders that inter-relate to the other paintings. This type of art has potential interest for tourists and I am looking to market these paintings and art cards to galleries with high tourist traffic. Wish me luck!
