Commissions

I take great pride in my commission paintings. I always work hard for my clients, so that their paintings are just what they asked for. I listen to their needs and work within their budget. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with so many nice people and do paintings for them that they love.

Swans and hummingbirds  Swans and Hummingbirds

Lesa asked me to do this painting for her. She wanted swans in a deep, dark tranquil lake, but she also wanted bright flowers and hummingbirds. This painting combines both her wishes and she loves it.

Refreshing

36 x48" oil on canvas was done for a couragous lady who was making some positive changes in her life. She wanted a painting that would brighten her space and fill it with excitment. The definition of refreshing means restoring strength and vigor. She had complete input as to how the painting would be and therefore got exactly what she wanted. This painting felt right from the first brush stroke. It was great fun to paint.

M and M Connemaras  M and M Connemaras

This is a large 4'x5' oil painting that Melanie White, breeder of spunky, showy Connemara ponies asked me me to do, to enhance the comfortable living room of her large country farm house. After taking pictures of the mares and foals I designed a layout that would showcase her beautiful ponies and georgous boarding facility in Langley B.C. This painting depects the peaceful and nurturing scene at M and M Connemaras.

Jim McRae and Shilo

24"x36" oil on canvas. In 1988 Jim McRae made the gruelling journey along the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada riding Shilo and packing Shilo's daughter Sandy and a mule named Duke. For more information about this fantastic trip check out Jim's diary of the trip in the trails section of Aldergrove chapter of Back Country Horesman of BC website (on my links page). Shilo died at age 27 and this painting is a tribute to him, the only horse known to be ridden the entire trail and in one season, an unbelieveable task that won him the award for "horse of the year".

Thunderbird site

Thunderbird Show Park

24"x36" oil on canvas. I was pleased to be commissioned by Jane Tidball to do a painting of the Thunderbird Show Park site. This highly detailed painting depicts all the action that takes place at this popular, upscale Grand Prix show facility on a busy show weekend. A fun painting to produce, it is equally interesting to look at.
