About Thunderfoot Studio

Let me introduce myself and tell you about the services I can provide. My name is Vivian Harder. I've been drawing and painting my whole life. I was just born with a talent and passionate about art the way some people are natural born athletes. I sold my first painting at age fourteen.

It was an oil painting of horses - my second passion. As I grew up these two loves would be strong influences in my life, and it couldn't have turned out better. I am an equestrian and horse owner, I have raised a great family and I also have a satisfying career as an artist and graphic designer.

I went to University College of the Fraser Valley and took the Graphic Design and Communication Program.  The Graphic Design training I received combined with my strong drawing and illustration skills helped me round out the services I could provide to my clients.  I developed more as a commercial artist and have worked as a freelance artist ever since.  The ability to listen to and understand my client’s requirements is essential.  This helps me create artwork that completely fulfills their expectations and results in a finished product that we can both take pride in.

I’ve had the chance to meet a lot of nice people and do a lot of nice artwork over the years including a painting that was presented to Her Royal Majesty Queen of England. The great thing about my job is the variety of artwork I get asked to produce.  I love that challenge and I work hard to do my best work on all jobs.  My motto is “It’s not finished until you say it is”.

When I’m not working on the commercial side of my business or working on commission paintings, I have the chance to let loose with my paintings.  The Funky Cats and B.C. series gives me the opportunities to work with bright colors, loose and graphic styles and fun subject matter.  These paintings are when my true spirit can come through on the canvas and I love sharing them with you at art shows and at galleries.

I hope you enjoy my website and I hope you’ll contact me with your comments
